About Moodroom

Built in Naples, for everyone redoing a home.

We're a small team making the renovation tool we wished existed the last time we tore down a wall.

How it started

Ten browser tabs, one mood board, no idea how much it would cost.

A friend of ours decided to redo her apartment in Vomero. Eight months in, she had a Pinterest board with 430 pins, an Excel sheet with ten sheets, a WhatsApp group with three suppliers and one architect, and absolutely no idea whether she was over budget or just imagining it.

She knew what she wanted each room to feel like — she just couldn't make anyone else see it. Every choice was separated from every other choice. Tiles in one tab, the sofa in another, the lighting in a third. The render in her head never showed up on her screen.

That's the problem we're solving. Moodroom is one place per room where every photo, every quote, every item, every supplier and every render lives together — and a way to see what the room will look like before you commit to the pieces.

“If you can't see the room, you'll spend twice on it.”

What we believe

Three principles that shape every decision.

01

Show, don’t describe

A render of the finished room beats a paragraph of options. We default to the visual answer.

02

Honest about money

Budgets blow up because nobody adds them in real time. Moodroom always shows the running total — even when it hurts.

03

One tool, not ten

Excel for budget, WhatsApp for suppliers, Pinterest for ideas, Notes for to-dos. We collapse all of that into the room.

Where we are

An Italian product, designed for the world.

We started in Naples because that's where the problem showed up most clearly — a city full of beautiful, hard apartments, full of people doing renovations the old way. Italy is our first market and our home, but the messy middle of a renovation looks the same in Milan, Madrid, Marseille, or Manchester.

We build the product alongside people who are mid-project, pair every feature with at least one real renovation, and ship in small steps that we're willing to put our own homes through.

Want to follow the build?

We write up the meaningful changes as we ship them. Quiet cadence, no spam — just one email when something changes.
